The Changtang region is tucked into the northeast corner of India’s Ladakh, with most people visiting the region to view the massive Lake Tsomoriri.  We visit the lake, and then trek northward into the remote 6000 meter peaks of the Changtang. 

We approach Nun via Ladakh, spending the first week trekking and climbing in the picturesque Ladakh range as a warm-up. The climbing route on Nun is relatively free from objective hazard with the right climbing program.

The Langtang region is the most accessible alpine region from Kathmandu. On clear days you can see the glaciated peaks of Langtang from the Kathmandu valley. It’s a jeep ride to get to the start of a Langtang adventure, no flight required. On this trip we will climb a semi-technical peak (Naya Kanga), trek in spectacular Langtang area, and do a bit of day trip exploring.

A spectacular trek through Nepal’s Everest region with an alpine style climb of 6186 meter Kyajo Ri. You must have prior experience at 6000 meters to make this trip. Join us for the trek into Gokyo and a hike up Gokyo (two weeks), or for the whole expedition (3+ weeks).

Kishtwar National Park is known for its world class climbing, pristine vistas, and interesting local culture. We go in the best season for a spectacular crossing of the glaciated Great Himalaya range with peak bagging enroute.

The East face of Khatung Kang, we will climb in roped pitches in alpine style via a direct line to the summit. You need to have water ice climbing experience, multi pitch rock climbing experience, alpine climbing experience, 6000 meter altitude experience, and a high level of fitness to participate in this climb.

An expedition climb to the 29th highest peak on Earth, 7756m Mount Kamet. Steeped in lore, Kamet is a challenging yet manageably safe high altitude climbing objective for those with previous 7000m+ experience. We will begin in Delhi, going overland by the Shatabdi Express railway, and then up into the Himalayas, climbing one or two 6000m peaks on approach for acclimatization.

The Dalai Lama calls Mustang the most preserved portion of Tibetan culture. Home to the kind and warm Lopa culture, it is a fascinating region of sky caves, remote glaciated 6000 meter peaks, and charismatic megafauna including truly wild yaks, snow leopards, and Tibetan wolves. We go into the region in the quiet season to explore Lopa culture and then to venture into the remote Tibetan borderlands to climb or ski 6000 meter peaks far from the beaten track.

The Chandra Tal region region is located in India’s Pir Panjal range, with most people visiting the region to view the Chandra Tal Lake. We begin in Manali, journey overland to Darcha and the Baralacha La, and then trek into this wild region for an intermediate/advanced peak climbing trip.

Api Himal is located in Far Western Nepal. The peak itself is 7000 meters in height, and surrounded by 5000 and 6000 meter peaks. The goal of this trip is to walk into the region with porter support, focusing on the culture and wildlife of the region. We will stop and visit with locals in their villages, search for wildlife with my binoculars while on trail, and make our way up into the large alpine region that is Api Himal.
