The basic goal is to go into the region and explore its many unclimbed and climbed granite glaciated peaks. There are many and we choose the best ones for the ability levels and interests of the group. Pangong has easy peak scrambles that do not require equipment beyond a trekking pole, more moderate 6000 meter peaks that require crampons and an axe, all the way up to full on alpinism test pieces with pitched out technical climbing on big North faces with granite and alpine ice.

We made our first backcountry ski touring trip to Humla in February of 2017. What we found was a land with endless potential for exploratory powder skiing. Humla receives the most snow in Nepal and has world class terrain for skiing.

What I love about Ladakh is its depth. The setting of this trek is on the high Changtang plateau, which is called "the roof the world" in modern media. The Changtang is located on the northern side of the Himalayas and thus is in a rain shadow from the summer monsoon rains in Nepal and further East.

What stands out on the Tsomoriri - Spiti trek is the remote feel of the route. Other trekking routes of Ladakh are nowadays quite busy, while this traverse sees less people. We like it for this reason, along with the wildlife of the area.

We will fly into Lukla and trek into the heart of the Khumbu and climb Island Peak,  next we'll catch a helicopter flight over the mountains to the base of Mera Peak. After a day of preparations at the base of Mera we will ascend to base camp and then climb and ski 6476m Mera Peak, returning to Lukla to fly back to Kathmandu.

Just 22Km east of Everest and 80Km west of Kangchenjunga, Makalu has a distinctive pyramid shape, with its South East and North Western ridges being most prominent. The latter provides the normal route used by the majority of climbers attempting the summit. From a base camp at the foot of the Chago Glacier, 5 camps are placed on the mountain, including Camp 3 on the Makalu La at 7,400m and a high camp on the North Face at approximately 7,600m.
