At 7000 metres above sea level, a climb to the North Col is an extraordinary experience. Any expedition to this peak is a major undertaking and should be attempted only with the very best leader, guides, support staff and logistics.

Climb Everest with Andrew Lock, one of the most accomplished Himalayan veterans and expedition leaders on Earth. He is the only person in the entire British Commonwealth to have climbed all fourteen of the world’s 8000 metre peaks.

Our experience on this expedition will be exploring these attributes of the valley while attempting the first ascent of unclimbed Pemthang Ri. We will meet in Kathmandu and then fly into Langtang the following day. Once we are in Kyanjin Gompa, we will acclimatize on the surrounding hills and then shift to our base camp for our climb.

Muztagh Ata attracts skiers and mountaineers for its elevation, climbing season and unique approach. At 7500+ meters, it’s a great preparation mountain for 8000 meters, and in summer which works for many getting holiday leave for a climb. Additionally, it’s a very interesting approach with camels (!). Luke Smithwick will be guiding this trip, and also climbing and skiing with you on the mountain.

Peak Lenin attracts skiers and mountaineers for its elevation, climbing season and “non technical” nature. At 7134 meters, it’s a great preparation mountain for future 8000 meter ascents, and in the Northern hemisphere summer which works for many getting holiday leave for a climb.

Our experience on this adventure will be exploring the Langtang valley and Tamang culture while doing some great climbing and peak hiking. We will meet in Kathmandu and then fly into Langtang the following day. Once we are in Kyanjin Gompa, we will set to rock climbing, ice climbing, and finally climbing a wild 5000+ meter peak (optional). This is a great first Himalayan experience, and also a new one for the Himalayan veteran that wants to pick up some new climbing skills in a spectacular location. All in 10 days.

For many of the peaks in the Miyar valley there are no records of prior ascents.  We also oftentimes find no evidence of other humans visiting the summits of peaks before.  Instead of looking at these peaks as our being the first to put bootprints on the summit, we like to simply enjoy the solitude of the region.  With the popularized trekking routes being fairly busy from day to day in Ladakh, we usually don’t see another soul in the Miyar valley region, save for a local boy out searching for his grazing yaks.

The magic 7000 meters. Mount Api is a spectacular peak located in Far West Nepal. The trek into Mount Api takes us through mixed forest and conifers, with nice views of the Himalayas above us. Once in base camp, we will begin our acclimatization process, climbing higher and sleeping lower as we ascend higher and higher towards the summit.

Learn to ice climb and/or climb new routes on the roof of the world, and on the famous winter Chadar trek route. Already experienced and looking to take your climbing to a new region? This is the trip for you. Essentially, we’ll have 5 full days of ice climbing, and time to experience the Zanskar gorge.  Each day will be built to suit the interests of climbers on the trip. If you already have climbing experience we’ll pursue more difficult routes with aesthetic and interesting terrain. If you’re a total beginner, no worries, we’ll work our way up, starting with a day of the basics, allowing you to progress at your own pace.

Zanskar is an ancient kingdom in western Ladakh, with most people visiting the region to interact with the fascinating locals, and experience a subsistence pastoral lifestyle that has persisted for the past ~1200 years. We will do the same, and do some great climbing and trekking as well. We will arrive in Leh, acclimatize on the surrounding hills for a few nights, drive to Zanskar, and trek into a base camp. Once we are in base camp, we will set to rock climbing, ice climbing, and then finally climbing a wild 6000 meter peak.

The Lost Valleys of Nar and Phu are sandwiched between the Annapurna range and the Manaslu range. The valleys are home to people of Tibetan descent that have inhabited the area for more than a thousand years. We drive the newly built road that used to be the Annapurna Circuit trek to the village of Koto, and then we trek for a full day to reach our base camp, where we will set our sights on alpine rock climbs at the  4000 – 5000m elevation.

We return to the Stok range of Ladakh for summer climbing. The Stok range is one of the most accessible Himalayan ranges, being a days walk from the airport in Leh. Luke Smithwick will be guiding and instructing on this trip, and also climbing with you on the mountain. He is ready to accommodate climbers of all experience and ability levels. The Ganga (Ganges). Lifeblood to millions, and holiest of rivers to those of the Hindu faith. The Ganga originates in the ice clad peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas, central India, fed by heavy winter and monsoon snows. Millions of people flock each year to have their sins washed away by its waters. We travel to the source, and explore the upper reaches for skiing and splitboarding. We will visit with holy sadhus, acclimatize on lower peaks in the Harsil valley, and seek out aesthetic lines in this extraordinary region while also learning about the winter way of life for the local Garhwali people.
