Our 2018 focus for Spring ski mountaineering in the Himalayas is again the Kang Yatze massif in the western Himalayas of India. What we found in June 2017 was a gracious plenty of ski terrain waiting for its first ski descent at the magic 6000 meter mark. Join us.

Detail This ski expedition will be fully stocked with a variety of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with snacks. Each member will have their own roomy 2 person Mountain Hardwear tent (4 person tent for couples).  Meals are oatmeal, eggs, muesli, fruit, and tea/ espresso coffee for breakfast. Lunches are fresh fruit, salads, fresh bread (made each morning), cheeses, pasta/rice, cookies, and juice. Dinners are usually 3 to 4 dishes, with pasta or rice. Occasionally, we will have pizza and other western treats. The dining tent is set up with each member having their own camp chair, books pertinent to the trek/climb, maps, solar charging for electronics, and snacks as you would like them when we arrive to camps.

*This itinerary is a basic framework. If more time is required for acclimatization on approach, we will do so. Luke will be monitoring acclimatization of each participant and lead the group in a conservative approach for this trip. We have trips where extra days are required for acclimatization, while other trips do not. Contact Luke to discuss this in detail.
