The East face of Khatung Kang, we will climb in roped pitches in alpine style via a direct line to the summit. See the Google Earth image below to understand the line.

Our route follows the obvious gully on the East face to the summit. You need to have water ice climbing experience, multi pitch rock climbing experience, alpine climbing experience, 6000 meter altitude experience, and a high level of fitness to participate in this climb.

5 – trek Thorung Phedi 4450 meters
6 – acclimatize Thorung Phedi 4450 meters
7 – trek Khatung Kang base camp 5000 meters
8 – trek Khatung Kang high camp, sleep base camp 5400 meters/5000 meters
9 – climb Khatung Kang East face 6448 meters
10-12 – contingency days*
*used for weather and extra acclimatization
13 – trek Muktinath, drive Jomsom
14 – fly Pokhara, fly Kathmandu
15 – depart Kathmandu
