Kang Yatze Two | 6250m

kang yatze

6400m Kang Yatze 1, we will ascend the left skyline ridge. We may or may not put a fixed rope on this section, depending on who is interested in the climb and their level of experience with climbing. It’s also possible to climb less technical 6000 meter Kang Yatze 2.

A quick trek with expedition climb in the Trans-Himalaya of Ladakh. You must have prior experience at 6000 meters to make this trip.  We begin with acclimatizing for a couple of days in the culturally rich Indus valley, then to trek into the Kang Yatze range and make an ascent of an aesthetic semi-technical 6000m peak. A well-rounded Himalayan experience complete with indigenous culture, trekking, intermediate mountaineering with instruction, and all the amenities to keep you at your best. Join us.

Leadership. Luke Smithwick will be leading this trip working alongside his team of top notch local guides and staff.

Kang Yatze (on the right) seen from the Kongmaru La. Our route ascends through the seracs in the center of the peak.

Cost Effective. Full Service. We will climb with horse support to base camp.

Proving Ground.  Traversing the Great Himalaya range via a 5000 meter pass and climbing a 6400m meter peak is a real challenge. Come and test yourself on a high altitude peak and trek in the spectacular Himalaya, with the guides and resources to keep you safe and informed.

Trust.  Trekking and climbing at 5000 meters is no place to be short on resources. We make the proper advance preparations to ensure that our team will be properly cared for, from airport to summit to airport.
